On Fridays Miss Leyba and I try to do something new with just the two of us.
Today we made fruit crumble (based loosely on this gluten-free recipe). It just came out of the oven and smells heavenly.
Once Miss Leyba finishes reading to her baby doll, it’s tea party time!

Although she can’t have “milky” any more, she might as well make sure the other babies in the house are being well fed. I so appreciate her help. ;)
The Spritzer Leyba's are Carrie Spritzer, David Leyba and our three-year old daughter "Miss Leyba." Even though we have different last names, yes, we're actually married. (Spritzer Leyba is a mouthful, isn't it?!)
As a family, we try to spend quality time together cooking our meals from scratch, reading (sometimes to lull a certain toddler to sleep), victory gardening, trying new things, learning and growing from everyday experiences, playing, making music, spending time outdoors, exercising, talking. Oh, how the girls like to talk.
We love hanging with friends too and feel thankful for the wonderful community we've found here in our sleepy country town in the heart of California's wine country, 3,000 miles from where David and I grew up on the East Coast.
