Walking down to our neighborhood park, Miss Leyba explored grass, leaves, sand, bushes, and gravel:
She came home with a tremendous amount of dirt caked under her itty bitty nails.
Getting dirty can be so much fun.

The Spritzer Leyba's are Carrie Spritzer, David Leyba and our three-year old daughter "Miss Leyba." Even though we have different last names, yes, we're actually married. (Spritzer Leyba is a mouthful, isn't it?!)
As a family, we try to spend quality time together cooking our meals from scratch, reading (sometimes to lull a certain toddler to sleep), victory gardening, trying new things, learning and growing from everyday experiences, playing, making music, spending time outdoors, exercising, talking. Oh, how the girls like to talk.
We love hanging with friends too and feel thankful for the wonderful community we've found here in our sleepy country town in the heart of California's wine country, 3,000 miles from where David and I grew up on the East Coast.

How is it that Miss Leyba is all bundled up but there’s a foot wearing flip-flops in the top picture?

It was actually quite lovely out, hence the flip flops. The only reason she’s bundled up in her hat is that it was VERY windy so I wanted to keep her ears warm! She surprised me though: she didn’t try to take the hat off until after a half hour or so. That has to be a Miss Leyba record.
