Right to left: sleepy and asleep (yep, she still likes those funky sleep positions)

weight: 14 lbs 15 oz (as of April 12th)

length: 25 inches (as of April 12th)

time she wakes us up: 6 am (though lately it’s been closer to 8 am! how lucky are we?!)

# of 2-hour naps she typically takes each day: 2 (also # of 2-hour naps required for her to be happy)

minimum # of times we read Harry the Dirty Dog, Green Eggs and Ham, Dr. Seuss’s ABC, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar each day: 2

Family factoids:

# of kisses, hugs and “I love yous” we say daily to our daughter and each other: way too many to count! It’s a giant Spritzer Leyba love fest over here!

  1. Those are awesome baby factoids. I absolutely love how strong and healthy she is. And just so you know, she’s giggling because she totally knows she’s the best. I’m sure of it. Look at that little knowing half-smile. You go, Miss Leyba!

  2. I remember kissing my girl so much in those days! She still loves the love too — we share many, many ‘I love yous’ even in the most difficult moments!

  3. Alexis: Thank you!!! She really is a remarkable girl. David and I feel so blessed.

Sara: I love it! I think it’s so important to have daily ‘I love yous’ and I like your reminder about saying it during difficult moments when it is important to be reminded about the love. David and I both grew up in houses with lots of ‘I love yous’ and we both still end every phone conversation with our parents with ‘I love you.’ I think it enriches our lives knowing how much we are cherished and we want to pass that on to our daughter.

When Miss Leyba arrived David and I had to stop shouting ‘I love you’ across the house when she was sleeping. I had never noticed just how often we said it until then. :)
