Everywhere I look, friends are pregnant and/or with babies. This weekend I am heading to April’s baby shower and a mini-Biosphere reunion in the Washington D.C. area (Unfortunately, it’s a zip in/zip out kind of weekend and I won’t be able to see many of my friends and family in the D.C. area. I am so sorry about that, guys!).

April (at the right) is due with Ripley Lauren in December; Erika gave birth to Isaac yesterday; Margaret’s tummy is getting larger and larger every day; Judy just passed into her second trimester; my cousin Shira is due next month; Ranni and Ricardo’s daughter Isabela turns one in a couple of days! I feel like it’s the year of the baby for us.

Of course, we are not planning on having a baby ourselves for several years, despite my ever increasing baby fever. In the meantime, I am celebrating the joy of motherhood vicariously through my friends! (& I am trying to not be too jealous.)

I find it so exciting and thrilling being surrounded by such strong, capable, fun, and happy pregnant women.
