Thanks, Sara! I think that picture was the day before she cried on the hour, every hour the whole night long. Now we have much bigger circles under our eyes!

Rachel: Oh dear. Does that mean she could continue to howl for 10 more months?! Just shoot me now.

She’s actually getting better. I think she’s starting to get used to being in the car, in her car seat, and to not being able to move around the way she wants to. I think it helps that she’s getting bigger, so she’s less overwhelmed being in her giant car seat. She also likes it when we play Alana Davis in the CD player and put her knitted multi-color blanket on her legs.

She really flips however anytime we try to have her ride by herself back there. She looks over and no one is sitting next to her and she goes into hysterics. Gotta work on that. I want to be able to drive around with just her and me in the car!

my daughter screamed every time I put her in the car until she was old enough to have her seat facing forward. then she was fine, but a whole year of the screaming was very nerve wracking.

Oh, I remember the car crying! There will be one or two things that will make her happy, though, you’ll find them! You look so happy and radiant. Lovely. Have I mentioned that Lucy is obsessed with California? She’s never been, but still, she wants to go. The sun I see makes me want to go too!
