I figured they needed to set somehow. Good crafting info to know. You are such a devoted crafter! The next time I have the pleasure of dining or snacking in your home, I shall take care to admire my napkin. ;-)

Did you make the napkins or buy them? For Channa’s B-Day we had the kids make pizza and sundaes and decorate their own cooking aprons with fabric markers. It was a lot of fun-maybe we’ll make some napkins too!

Hopefully she doesn’t mind her artwork getting dirty at mealtime. Pretty sure my daughter would not let us wipe our tomato sauce on her artwork :)

Alexis: They are machine washable! First, I heat-set the fabric markers by running the napkins in the dryer for an hour, then I let them sit for about two weeks to help the color set more. Then they are ready to be washed in cold water and used!

I figure if the color fades over time then we can just do another layer of drawing on them, re-heat-set them and use them some more! I’ll let you know how it works.
