Love this idea. Shayna actually has a stuffed hungry caterpillar. Its about 14″ long, and all along the sides are the foods from the book, apples, plums, cupcake, etc. There are pockets and you can stuff the food in the pockets and the caterpillar gets nice and fat! It doesn’t turn in to a butterfly, but it still might be a fun gift idea : ) (PS… we love that book here too!)

Don’t forget about egg-carton caterpillars! Talk about a great way to “recycle” those cardboard egg containers. Anyone else make these in nursery school?
